About Vince Reiman
Hi. I’m Vince (they/he), a Black queer writer of popular history.
American history is not a neutral inheritance. I recover underrepresented lives from the archives and tell the national story again, whole.
I am currently writing a book that reconstructs the founding of America, from 1775-1800, through the lives and perspectives of Black Americans, Indigenous peoples, and the working-class.
In 2025, a health scare reminded me to treat life as the sacred gift that it is. I left a thirteen-year career in engineering to pursue my longtime calling as a writer.
I live in Brooklyn with my two cats.
Every day is my joy.
